Nelmes Lodge , nestled in the beautiful Guanaba Valley is only 22kms from our Gold Coast Stables. Owned by the Nelmes family, the property was originally purchased to provide their race horses with a permanent quality retirment. However demand has been such for the boutique care that Nelmes Lodge is a fully operational and highly sought after spelling farm. Irrigated by the Coomera River, the pasture is under sown with lucerne and clover. Manager Lucas Bewley has been there from the outset and his horsemanship is renown. Nelmes Lodge has looked after many Group winners including Takeover Target, Royal Ascher , Activation , Duelled, Patezza , Pentathon, Bullmore , Tui Song etc. for trainers such as Lloyd Williams, Guiy Walter , Joe Jainick , Lee Freedman. Naturally our lovely horses including Tornado Alley , Omnitrader and Aladdins Lion have made Nelmes Lodge their home away from home.
Ferny Glen is a recent addition to our preferred spelling properties. Purchased by the Robinson family to house their horses raced under the guidance of Raceahorse.com , Ferny Glen is rapidly becoming a property of the highest standard. Ferny Glen is 40 minutes from the Gold Coast Stables and on the Coomera River. Its undulating paddocks are fully irrigated making the property drought proof. The 64 acres has been developed to accomodate both breeding stock and race horses. There are excellent stabling facilities and the fencing has been designed to the highest standards of safety. The larger paddocks for long term spelling are beautiful tree studded paddocks allowing the horses natural environments. The colts paddocks and stables all have walk in and walk out facilities. The staff at Ferny Glen are highly experienced and welcome visitors.

Washpool Lodge needs no introduction to the racing industry. Operated by renown horse man Kevin Thomas , I am thrilled to be utilising their pre training facilities. Without exception the horses arrive in my stable from Washpool with beautiful manners and a healthy glow.
